What is a Treasure? A Treasure is anyone who has been affected by Pediatric cancer and created a fundraiser with GOT3 to raise awareness and donations for Pediatric cancer. A Treasure could be a current patient, former patient, or a friend or family member who knows/knew a pediatric cancer patient. GOT3 appreciates our Treasures, as many of them are children or young adults who want to make a difference in an overlooked community; those affected by Pediatric cancer. Each Treasure receives a Certificate of Appreciation and a superhero cape to represent their heroic courage of wanting to make a difference. Below are the stories of our Treasures who have made a difference.
COREY: Family member of someone who had pediatric cancer I did my fundraiser as a school project. I selected GOT3 because my cousin, Josh, passed away from a rare childhood cancer at age 14. Josh was like a big brother to me, and I wanted to honor his memory. I did two bake sales and also received donations from family members, and I raised $325 for GOT3.
EMILY: Pediatric Cancer Survivor I came up with the idea of my fundraiser Chain of Love, with the help of Faustina, to help spread love for childhood cancer research after I beat childhood cancer myself. My goal was to form a chain as long as a football field. Each link equaled a $1 donation. I reached my goal and raised $1,440.
